A clear, colorless, and low-odor solvent intended to replace ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) and comp with high global warming potential (GWP) in many applications.
The high boiling point and low surface tension of Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 solvent make it ideal for vapor degreasing as a neat (pure), azeotropic component or co-solvent parts cleaner. In addition, it’s chemical and thermal stability, non-flammability, and low toxicity make it useful for many other industrial and specialty solvent applications.

| Typical Contaminants Removed | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 can be used in heavy-duty cleaning as a co-solvent that removes heavy oils, greases, and fluxes. Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 can be used in an azeotropic blend solvent to remove oils, greases, and waxes. At the same time, used as a neat solvent to remove particulates, fluoro-lubes, light oils, and fluoropolymers. |
| Operating Conditions | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 is used at 100% by volume in ultrasonic immersion and vapor degreasing applications. Contact your Crest representative for product-line-specific recommendations. |
| Substrate Compatibility | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 is safe on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, carbon (mild) steel, a range of plastics, and epoxy resins, when used as directed. Please ask your local representative for polymer compatibilities. Further material testing can be completed in the Applications Lab. |
| Availability | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 71 is available in 5-gallon (33.07 lb) pails and 55-gallon (599.65 lb) drums.
