| Description | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 is a clear, colorless, and low-odor fluid intended to replace ozone-depleting substances (ODSs), compounds with high global warming potential (GWP), and chlorinated materials in many applications. Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 has a higher boiling point than most CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs, reducing evaporative losses. The low surface tension and low viscosity of Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 fluid make it ideal for use in vapor degreasing and cold cleaning applications. In addition, its chemical and thermal stability, non-flammability and low toxicity make it useful for many other industrial applications, such as specialty solvent and heat transfer applications. |

| Typical Contaminants Removed | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 can be used in light-duty cleaning (neat) to remove particulates, fluorolubes, light oils and fluoropolymers. It is also used as a lubricant carrier in fluorocarbons, hydrocarbons, and silicones. It is used as a heat transfer, specialty, dispersion medium, and extraction solvent. It is a CFC, HCFC, HFC, and PFC replacement agent. |
| Operating Conditions | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 is used at 100% by volume in ultrasonic immersion and vapor degreasing applications. Contact your Crest representative for product-line-specific recommendations. |
| Substrate Compatibility | Chem-Crest SolvaClean 72 is compatible with most metals and hard polymers. Soft and elastomeric materials should be limited to compounds with the least amount of extractable plasticizer. Please ask your local representative for polymer compatibilities. Further material testing can be completed in the Applications Lab. |
