Description | Chem-Crest 99 is a liquid cleaning concentrate designed to remove oils, scales, discoloration, and particulates. This solution was specially developed for the cleaning of carbide for the tooling industry, but finds uses in other areas such as the cleaning of soft metals after manufacture, and as part of routine cleaning operations. |

Typical Contaminants Removed | Chem-Crest 99 removes oils, light scales and oxides, particulates, common contaminants from the carbide manufacturing process, and general contaminants from the surfaces of parts. |
Operating Conditions | Chem-Crest 99 recommended dilution is 5–10% by volume and 10-15% by volume for heavy descaling at temperatures of 150°–180°F. Normal operating temperatures: 130°–160°F. Recommended rinsing water temperature: 100°–150°F. Contact your Crest representative for product-line specific recommendations. |
Substrate Compatibility | Chem-Crest 99 is compatible with brass, bronze, carbides, copper, stainless steel, zinc, and aluminum. It is safe on glass, ceramics, and plastics. Ferrous surfaces may be protected immediately after treatment with Chem-Crest 99 with an appropriate rust inhibitor. |
Availability | Chem-Crest 99 is available in cases of (4) x 1-gallon plastic bottles, 5-gallon pails, and in 55-gallon containers. |

Storage Conditions and Disposal Materials | Avoid freezing conditions. Dispose in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and procedures. No products contained in this concentrate are regulated under SARA Title III, Section 313. |
