Delivering What’s Next in Precision Cleaning

Ultrasonic Cleaning Applications

We offer a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment and solutions for virtually any industry's needs.

Our industrial ultrasonic cleaners remove surface particulates and debris quickly and entirely from various manufacturing parts, using cavitation and specially targeted cleaning detergents or solvents. No matter how complex the pieces are, our ultrasonic tanks can efficiently and rapidly reach all crevices, corners, and pores with little to no need for human interaction.

Cavitation is key

Crest Ultrasonics machines introduce sound waves into a specialized liquid using our patented immersible transducers or Push-Pull Transducers (depending on tank size and cleaning needs).

These transducers compress and expand liquid, forming microscopic bubbles by squeezing tightly and then separating quickly. Called “cavitation,” this bursting action causes a partial vacuum, producing extremely high exit velocities for each bubble at a temperature similar to the sun’s.

All this happens very quickly, with the surrounding liquid absorbing each bubble’s heat nearly instantly. Overall, this gives you a potent, precise, and easy-to-use system for cleaning any part safely, gently, and specifically targeted at the contaminants, oils, and other debris that your particular industry produces.

Choosing the best industrial ultrasonic cleaner for your needs

Cleaning performance depends on selecting the right type of industrial ultrasonic cleaner. There are three main kinds of cleaning systems: desktop or benchtop systems, turnkey systems, and large industrial systems.

A desktop tank is often suitable for cleaning small parts of one type in singular or small batches. You can clean parts efficiently on small surfaces at relatively low power.

A benchtop tank is larger than a desktop tank and can be integrated turnkey or based on individual components. You can switch generators and transducers to achieve the desired frequency or to operate several frequencies simultaneously. Separating ultrasonic generators from transducers allows for greater cleaning flexibility and enables you to remove a range of contaminants in various ways.

Manufacturers and production plants use large industrial cleaning systems to hold bulky or long products. We install the ultrasonic generators individually, and several transducers may be necessary to fill the tank with ultrasonic sound waves. This design is crucial to ensure even ultrasonic cleaning in the tank.

No matter which type of ultrasonic cleaner you need for a specific application, Crest Ultrasonics sales representatives and engineers are available to consult – free of charge. And we back all customers with the best customer service in the business.

Matched with world-class Chem-Crest® cleaning solutions

Ultrasonic cleaning systems will only be as good as the ultrasonic cleaning solutions you use for the job. Is yours tolerant of excessively high or low surface tension? Can it remove debris and suspend it for removal? Is it safe? Alkaline? Acidic? Does it mix well in water and degas quickly? Does it inhibit future rusting if that is a concern?

Properly matching equipment and solution ensures a thoroughly cleaned industrial part in two to ten minutes. However, many variables can increase the average time required for your particular ultrasonic cleaning process.

We include the equipment and solutions that should best match a specific industry’s critical ultrasonic cleaning applications for each industry listed below. But, of course, we encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns you might have for a desired ultrasonic cleaning process at your needs.
