Chem-Crest® SolvaClean: A Leading Vapor Degreasing Solvent for Your Vapor Degreaser
ATTENTION MANUFACTURERS: 3M is discontinuing its line of NovecTM Engineered Fluids.
In its press release, 3M says “Please note that regardless of any order acknowledgment, 3M may not be able to supply your orders due to continuing force majeure events and supply constraints, and we strongly urge customers to find alternative sources of supply.”
Replace your 3M NovecTM Engineered Fluids for Vapor Degreasers with Chem-Crest SolvaClean
3M’s discontinuation of NovecTM Engineered Fluids for vapor degreasing has created an immediate problem for manufacturers with solvent cleaning needs.
Without switching to Chem-Crest SolvaClean today, they are at risk of:
- Delays in production, resulting in lost time and money
- Inability to achieve desired degreasing results without the proper solvent
- Increased costs associated with switching to a new vapor degreaser solvent in a last-minute rush
Potential erosion of customer relationships due to delays in production or quality issues - We urge you to switch today to maintain and improve your solvent cleaning performance – the time to act is now.
SolvaClean is the vapor degreasing solvent for today's needs
Today, vapor degreasing solvents need to be powerful enough effective precision cleaning while also being safe and environmentally friendly.
And they need to be dependable replacements for solvents such as n-propyl bromide (NPB,) trichloroethylene (TCE), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), all of which are being phased out for various ecological and health reasons.
SolvaClean meets all of these vapor degreasing needs.
- It is a unique, high-performing, non-flammable, azeotropic fluorinated solvent blend that is safe, powerful, and environmentally favorable.
- It is engineered to meet the needs of today’s industry, providing an effective cleaning solution without sacrificing worker safety, health, or environmental friendliness.
- We have designed SolvaClean with superior performance in mind, ensuring that it can handle even the most challenging cleaning tasks.
That is why SolvaClean is the ideal choice for any vapor degreasing application needed today.
Compatible with your vapor degreaser processes
Our chemical engineers designed SolvaClean to meet the needs of virtually any industrial cleaning or vapor degreasing process. So you can expect superior performance at various boiling points, cleaning strengths, drying times, and vapor pressures.
This allows users to find the perfect solution for their critical cleaning applications, with compatibility among existing processes that make it easy to integrate into existing systems.

Blended for use in all Solvac and other vapor degreasing systems
Below is the full line of Crest Ultrasonics solvent and vapor degreaser equipment that are compatible with SolvaClean. But we are compatible with virtually any existing solvent cleaner or vapor degreasing equipment you might have.
Standard solvent systems
Compact Ultrasonic Vapor Degreaser
The Solvac S1 provides automated solvent washing, rinsing, cooling, and drying all in a single compact unit. You will enjoy a wide range of premium features for a standard-level, budget-friendly price.
Twin Sump Ultrasonic Vapor Degreaser
Designed for co-solvent cleaning applications, the Solvac S2 provides automated solvent washing, rinsing, cooling, and drying all in a single compact unit — with highly efficient component drying and maximized solvent distillation.
Nanopac Benchtop Vapor Degreaser
The Nanopac is an outstandingly compact and mobile vapor degreaser. Yet while small in form, the Nanopac makes no compromises in technology and cleaning performance. It offers maximum vapor degreasing innovation a minimal footprint.
Eco-Pac Solvent Regeneration Unit
The Crest Ultrasonics Eco-Pac Solvent Regeneration Unit is a highly efficient solvent regeneration unit that can accompany our smaller Solvac vapor degreasers. The unit is compact in design, a standalone system, and highly competitive in price.
Low flashpoint solvent systems
Compact Low Flashpoint Vapor Degreaser
The AL-1010 is designed to safely employ cyclohexane, isopropyl alcohol, acetone, and other low-flashpoint solvents. It has a small footprint to save floor space and is ideal for removing organic residues such as organic films, fingerprints, grease, mold release, oils, etc.
Custom and specialty solvent systems
Superheated Non-flammable Vapor Degreaser
The Solvac S3 superheated non-flammable vapor degreaser safely employs most of today’s non-flammable and EPA approved solvents. It is ideal for removing residues such as films, fingerprints, greases, mold releases, oils, and more.
Superheated Low Flashpoint Vapor Degreaser
The Solvac S4 superheated low flashpoint vapor degreaser safely employs all of today’s low-flashpoint solvents such as isopropyl alcohol, acetone, and cyclohexane. It’s a high throughput capacity solution to low-flashpoint solvent precision cleaning applications.
Low Emission Flexible Solvent Cleaner
The SE Series handles either flammable or non-flammable solvents, and meets strict requirements for solvent emissions. It offers solvent flexibility and efficiency, and meets SCAQMD’s stringent permitting requirements for solvent emissions.
Superheated Low Flashpoint Vapor Dryer
The AD Series is specifically designed for use with flammable solvents such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Typical applications include the removal of water from disk drive media, flat panel displays, semiconductor wafers, and photomask substrates.
